Guest guest
No problem, June. I was always so glad to learn anything new or how to make things simpler or work better. More than anything, I like to " neaten " things up that are sent to me before I send them on to others. I rarely ever use " forward " any more, because the previous letter always follows along behind it.......what a waste!!! (and quite often, embarrassing....) I like to copy a letter or joke, whatever it is.......paste it in a new letter.......then cut out all the previous addresses that it has been to, and even the trip data at the bottom of a letter.......well, in fact, I don't even copy that part. Not only does this save time and space, it preserves people's privacy so that when I send something along to someone else, I am not sending other people's private e-mail addresses. Certainly makes it nicer when you want to print something out. If you don't do this, some of these things can get so long that I don't even want to bother with them.......let alone how unattractive they are. Time and space are important on the computer. I do the best I can, but I know I am still doing some things that can stand to be improved........please, anyone........make any suggestions that you think I need to hear. I've only been on line for a year without any classes or anything, so it hasn't been easy.....but I have had so many wonderful people give me suggestions along the way and I have appreciated it so much. Would you believe that I still haven't pursued how to " quote " a letter, or parts of it so that I can insert my answers to each idea mentioned? It was explained to me several times, but it didn't work right for me, so I just got around it by copying the whole thing and inserting my remarks in wherever I wanted, sometimes in a different color.........ROF.......yes, don't bother to ask....I AM one of those people who will drive around the block to avoid making a tricky left turn on a busy road..........but Hey........I haven't had an accident in 30 years and I have a perfect driving record. I always err on the side of caution.......which drives most men simply bonkers!!! I hope you have learned enough with all the answers you have received to help you figure out how you are losing some of your letters or parts of them......any maybe a few more things. Just ask and you will always get the help you need...... Take good care, Connie
