Guest guest Posted January 17, 2000 Report Share Posted January 17, 2000 HI EVERYONE MY NAME IS MONICA AND I WROTE A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO BUT COULDN'T ANSWER ANYONE SORRY ABOUT THAT MY COMPUTOR WAS DOWN AND WOULD'T ANSWER ANY ONE BUT IM BACK NOW. I HAVE CMT1 AND JUST WENT THREW A YEAR OF SURGERY ON BOTH OF MY FEET-- I WALKED ON THE SIDES OF MY FEET AND IT WAS EFECTING MY WALKING REALLY BAD. THEY FIRST DID MY LEFT FOOT 1-CULCANEAL OSTEOTOMY 2- PLANTAR FASIA RELEASE 3-5TH AND 1ST METATUESAL OSTEOTOMY WHAT THEY DID WAS REMOVE MY HEEL AND PUT A ROD THREW THE BACK OF MY FOOT --DROP MY ARCHES-- AND BRAKE MY IST TOE AND MY 5TH TOE TO BALANCE MY FOOT, LOTTS OF SCREWS ALL OVER. I HAD A CAST FOR 2 AND A HALF MONTHS WHEEL CHAIR THEN WALKER AND THEN A BRACE FOR A MONTH. YES IT WAS ALL WORTH IT. NOW I HAVE A LOT OF WEAKNESS IN MY LEGGS. FIRST FOOT DONE IN MARCH SECOND IN SEPT. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS HAD ANY OF THIS DONE OR MAYBE A NOTHER TYPE OF SURGERY DONE AND WOULD A PHYSICAL THEP. BE A GOOD CHOICE???????
