Guest guest
Hi , I had those muscle twitches in my legs in high school and they were reduced by taking potassium. Then the potassium was a liquid that I drank 2x a day - just a little, but very concentrated. My calves haven't wasted and I'm still walking OK so I don't know what the muscle twitches have to do with anything except I did notice that with sleep, like all my other CMT symptoms, the twitches in my legs vanished, until the next day and they started up again. Guest guest
Hello, Becca here, I had this problem as well, and I take Neurontin for it. It has helped so much. Becca .. Key words there are USED TO. I tried potassium, quinam, you name it. Then when I was pregnant, I told my O.B. She said that she remembered reading about calcium (she also suggested wearing support-hose). So I started taking calcium pills before going to bed, or even taking Tums. I haven't had muscle twitches/cramps in over 5 years--except on the nights that I forget to take it! It worked for me, and it's something that your body needs anyway.
