Guest guest
Hello everyone, I need to ask a question that's been on my mind: Do any of you find that you're falling and general symptoms much worse when in the throes of an attack of depression? I too have depression, but it comes and goes. I seem to be much more " accident prone " , when I am going through an attack.(at least that's what I call it, because that's how I feel when it hits.) Just wondering, Michele

Guest guest
Hi , I would agree with you, about not feeling well and the depression, but I've unfortuanately suffered from " attacks " of depression my whole life. I was never taught how to react to stress and the bad things that happened in my life and it seems that although I have been through many different types of therapies, it still picks the weirdest times to rear its ugly head. Most times I cling to my faith to see me through and it does. The CMT part? Well I really feel that during the depressive times, I am prone to falling, body aches,(not related to the falling) and general wobbliness. I'm not taking anything right now and probably never will, because it comes and goes, and all the medication makes me even more wobbly. It helps to know that other's go through the " It's all in your head syndrome " . If only my family and the world could see inside my head............Love and Kindness be yours, Michele

Guest guest
Gretchen, When I was a teenager I was very withdrawn due to my CMT and the fact that my dad was a minister. (With dad being a minister we had to watch everything we did and said.) With being a crippled (that's what they called it back then) I wasn't befriended by many (I at least always had 1 or 2 friends so I was happy) and since I couldn't run around much I became more and more of a wall flower, so they thought something was wrong with me (mentally). My parents actually had to take me into the county health people to prove to them that there was nothing wrong with me. I passed everything with flying colors. I was so proud of myself to be able to look at my teaches and say. It's not in my head it's in yours. LOL (I was a wall flower to protect myself from the mental and physical abuse from the other kids and teachers). Guest guest
YES, I feel my balance and energy are affected during my major depression times.
