Jackie Speer did in California. Gretchen, I'm in land, but not worried too much about cost, since my health insurance pays most of the cost. I have an $8 co-pay for each prescription. I am giving serioius thought to applying for SSI Disability too, since my neurologist thinks I should. But I think I may have mentioned that before on this list. :-) Jim
Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, Joanie here, Thanks for info on generic medication. I try to always get the cheapest stuff. But,........in spite of the fact that I have Medicare and BC/BS, and I send in for all my Rx, the generics seem to have all disappeared????!!. Also, there is a new rule about the co-pay. Even if I use the send in pharmacy, Merck Medco, the co-pay is $20 for each Rx. Last year it was 00000!!!! My husband does not have Medicare and he pays the same as I do. What a racket!! Re: amitriptyline/price/buying Hi Joan and Jim, I always try to get a generic medication - cheaper! Then, also I understand that ordering meds on-line say through planetRX for example, it is still cheaper. I haven't tried that yet, tho. Here is the site if you want to check out prices. http://www.PlanetRx com Also something that just went into effect in California in February, is that persons who receive SSDI can receive the Medi-Cal discount drug price, even without being on Medi-Cal. So, don't know where you live, but you might check with your pharmacy to see if they have anything like this, and if not, email your State Assembly/Senatorial representatives and tell 'em to sponsor a bill similiar to what Sen. Jackie Speer did in California. Gretchen jsheliko@... wrote: > > From: jsheliko@... > > Hello Jim, > I also take the generic amitriptolin, elival.
