It seems to only affect females in our family, although this varient is supposed to affect mostly males. My grandmother, aunt and mom had very thin calves and CMT (not diagnosed whiIe they were living). I have normal calves and CMT. CMT may not be consistent, even within a family! None of us had the very high arches, just low ones. My sis (no CMT) is a quilter, but I don't have the finger coordination nor the patience for such work, sorry to say.
