I usually keep a supply of those peppermint hard candies around for dry mouth. I have that when I am taking my alergy medicines too... and I'll be starting that too very soon, due to spring pollen alergies! As for the coffee, I have been drinking about 4 cups a day/mornig for the past two years, since I had to take early retirement. So, should I just use an IV? ;-)
Guest guest
Jim I don't think you'll have to resort to the IV coffee, but in a while you'll adjust or like someone else said take it early. I know last summer it seems like I slept forever until I got used to my meds, but now I'm fine. That is except for dry mouth and like you I can't chew gum, but I always take hard candy if I have to talk away from home and have nothing to drink. Good luck getting used to the meds. Donna, thanks! I read with interest those suggestions to take the amitriptyline earlier. Last night I took it about a hour before bed time, and it seemed to work better that way. I felt less tired/drugged this morning. Jim
