Guest guest
> Has anyone tried this new Nectar? YES! I've tried all three flavors, and they are YUMMY! I'm not normally a fruit drink person, but these are really good. I can't decide if my favorite is the apple or the caribbean cooler, but I will definitely be getting some of these before warm weather sets in! I think they'd be great on ice, and they mix up without a blender, which is major criteria for me. ~~ Lyn G
Guest guest
>> What type of calcium is in the Nectar? each serving has 16% of Daily Value....so if taken enough of it, could do more than 100% and compensate for some not absorbing? I went and looked at my Nectar container, and while it says it has calcium in its nutritional values, it doesn't appear to be an added ingredient, so it must be something in the protein mix itself. It can never hurt to do a little more, but I wouldn't count it as part of my calcium intake for the day, since we don't know for sure where it comes from. ~~ Lyn

Guest guest
Okay gang, I'm probably WAAAYYY behind on this stuff..I apologize if I'm rehashing old news..but I have just resurfaced to the groups to find some posting about some stuff called " Nectar " . Does it taste good? Is it absorbable? How expensive? How does it rank in the list of top proteins? I'm getting tired of chocolate and would like to try it, if it's worth it... Thanks, in advance, for the Low down.. Much love, Shelby
Guest guest
-LOL......she is sooooooooo funny. No, its not chocolate, but check Vitalady's site for the flavors. I liked all of the samples A LOT, and I am going to order some for the summer. I liked the Apple best....It is a nice change of pace. They are fun flavors, and a good protein source....or vitalady would not sell them. -- In OSSG-Protein , " Vitalady " wrote: > Well, it's NOT chocolate.......... > > > Thanks, > > > Vitalady, Inc. Guest guest
hmmmmmmmm I don't know I have always loved chocolate, the first protein drink I could tolerate was pure whey stack chocolate. But then I ordered the vanilla for variety, well it is just soooooo easy to change the flavor. Dress it up really easy! I can't do that all that easy with chocolate. Altho I did mix it with flavored fruit20 instead of plain water. I wish I could do peanutbutter, but I have tried it 4 times since surgery and dumped BIG time each time! waaaaaaaaa. So now I do vanilla at home (so I can play with it) and travel to work with either the chocolate (boring) or the apple nectar (mixes sooooo easy in a shaker, add a dash of cinnamon, hmmmmmmm). So I don't think you all have made me a perv just yet! LOL Phyllis Re: Re: Nectar Someone had to beat me over the head & promise me the moon to even bring in the first non-chocolate. Guest guest
Phyllis, You just gave me another great idea to try the vanilla. I have 4 flavors of diet ice botanical and 5 flavors of the flavored H2o. I bet sf jello would also taste good with it! Methinks I shall be testing shakes all day...MMMMmmmm Sharon L Hend NV

Yeah, you're becoming a perv, you're just not " hairy perv " enough to drink 'em straight or -- in times of real protein deprivation -- eat the powder dry! LOL! You might try the sugar free DaVinci peanut butter flavored syrup if you want chocolate peanut butter. I buy the Sci Fit chocolate peanut butter and save myself the time! LOL! And I LOVE vanilla mixed " in " other things, like Sugar Free Tang, or any of the Crystal lights (except tea -- that would be just strange.) ~~ Lyn G
Guest guest
I am a protein hater and can tolerate the nectar. Oddly enough, before surgery, I could drink PB55 chocolate but not now. Guest guest
Have you tried the peanut butter that is just pure peanuts (no sugar added). I got mine at the health food store. Probably have but was worth a try. Also, I can't wait to try that cinnamon in my apple. I hadn't thought of that one. Yummy! Thanks, Sheri Re: Re: Nectar Someone had to beat me over the head & promise me the moon to even bring in the first non-chocolate. I figured it was a waste of perfectly good Chocolate Dollars. Guest guest
Not " oddly " at all. For reasons beyond my knowledge, our tastebuds change with surgery, and THEN every few months or so thereafter. So, hang on to the PB55 chocolate, in another few months it just *MAY* be the only one you will like. Who knows....after surgery, our taste buds become quite fickle. Guest guest
lol actually........... I have eaten the apple nectar powder. hehehe not bad! but I couldn't eat enough to get 30gms in! I bit the bullet today and paid big bucks for all natural, no sugar or salt added peanut butter and as long as I was at it some strawberry preserves, no sugar added. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH and has anyone tried the new dannon lit and fit smoothies? Ok a tad high in carbs and sugars, but I bought the tropical flavor today, and it is to DIE for. sooooooooooo for a treat now and then it is ok, only 80 empty calories! hehehehe RE: Re: Nectar >> So now I do vanilla at home (so I can play with it) and travel to work with either the chocolate (boring) or the apple nectar (mixes sooooo easy in a shaker, add a dash of cinnamon, hmmmmmmm).
