Guest guest
, once I went to a Certified Orthotist, he told me NOT to get orthopedic shoes, but to find a good cross training shoe, like or New Balance. Before that I was wearing Avia's, but my feet had widened and the came wider. But then my Orthotist explained all about stable and straight last shoes, and he suggested New Balance, saying they are especially good for a woman's foot. And now I have worn New Balance for years. First with 1/2 orthotics, now with whole foot orthotic inserts. Gretchen

Hi Gretchen, I also had 2 podiatrists tell me that the New Balance shoes are very well made and good for people with foot problems. I have been wearing them for almost 3 years now, and I think that was the best advice anyone gave me on shoes. The podiatrist I had in Vancouver gave me bad advice I believe when he told me that I could continue wearing Easy Spirit shoes, even though my feet just kept getting worse! So, I changed podiatrists and I started out with a N.B. cross-trainer too, but my orthotist said that for me, a running shoes with LOTS of padding would be better for my foot.and I have a very thick orthotic and it fits well. They are Expensive! but worth every penny(dollar?), especially in our low, low, Candian $,s

I myself like the PW Minor. Great comfort and, seeing I have to wear them every place, they are dressier. I only own one pair shoes.
