Guest guest
Well, when I was drunk and had CMT, the combo could have really been a problem. Now, with sobriety, at least I know I am clear in that regard, and so what if I can't do a straight line walk! I carry the CMT wallet card to 'prove' I have CMT, so guess I would just have to give the officer a crash course in CMT. Cops can tell when talking to you if your drunk or not. If they do the walking test just tell them you have a medical problem like MS. Guest guest
My husband is a cop...and he says that you can definitely tell between someone who is truly drunk and someone who has a medical condition...if you just explain, they will understand, they are human too...many with ailments of their own or family with problems... like my son and I who have CMT...you would be surprised how many cops there are out there that actually have a heart and care! Good Luck! Sincerely, Tana

Guest guest
Thank you for this insider's view point. I lived in Los Angeles for the last five years and heard lots of horror stories about being accused of drunk driving. I feel a lot better hearing from other CMTers that I probably don't have to worry about it. > ---------- > From: Moonglow21@... > Reply To: CMTUS (AT) e > Sent: Sunday, April 16, 2000 12:27 PM > To: CMTUS (AT) e > Subject: Re: drunk driving + CMT > > In a message dated 4/12/00 9:05:22 AM Pacific Daylight Time, > ann9055@... > writes: > > << you would be surprised how many cops there are out there that actually > > have a > heart and care! >> > ********* > I agree, I totally believe they can tell the difference between drunk and > no > balance. > Tana, please tell your husband thank-you for the job he does....
