Gretchen, between you and Kat, you're founts of information! My

neurologist said I could go upto 75mg, but I'm leary of taking *any* mood

altering drugs, and will try getting by with the smallest dose I can. I've

had really bad experiences with " nerve " , anti-depressant, drugs in the past.

Yes, Jim, I am concerned about taking for ever - however, I can't handle the

shooting pain - that was so bad I about went nuts. And, as I told you

earlier - only started on 2 1/2 mg (that's a 10 mg cut into quarters!) and

was very effective on the pain.... so after all these years, and am only

now up to 35 mg, feel like I can still continue for a long time and it still

be effective. Also is very cheap compared to all others! The neuro that

gave it to me, wanted me on 150 mg within 3 months! That was what her other

patients were taking. So, compared to that, I still have a very long way to

go. I only increase 5 mg at a time, when the pain comes back and it goes a

head and takes care of it. And, at 2 1/2 mg, I did not have the groggy the

next morning. On 5 mg I did. So, I just kept cutting it down, until it was

an amount that I could live with and not be drugged.... and yet, it (the 2

1/2 mg) was very effective on the pain. Hope it works for you without too

many side effects. All of us are so different.!! Have a good one.
