Guest guest
Felt like I had to get my two cents worth in on the cold issue. I have had a whopper of a head and chest cold since around Christmas and... NO, I haven't had RLS during this time. This is the first time in months and months when I have not had RLS and PLMS! But I still haven't been able to sleep, thanks to the head cold. Gotta' be a better way...
Guest guest
Hi Phil and all; I am still getting over the effects of a bad cold. I didn't think about it until now, but my RLS didn't bother me much at all. But I didn't sleep worth a darn, my Dr. does not want me taking cold meds at night because of the medications I am on, so I only took coadvil during the day. He did tell me I could use a nasel spray for two days only, but that it might aggrivate my RLS, no thank you, didn't want to take that chance. It was the cold that kept me awake at night, getting up to get drinks of water or blow my nose then as soon as I layed down, I would start coughing like crazy. Maybe I was thinking about how miserable I was so my RLS didn't enter my consious thoughts.. LOL. Guest guest
Now I am really confused, are we saying now that Tylenol triggers an attack of RLS? I have a liver disorder and am prohibited from taking Advil and must take Tylenol (Paracetemol) for the pain. Can someone shed some light on this for me. Thanks everyone, Deborah The Netherlands
Guest guest
Nope. My absence of RLS symptoms when I had a cold was not due to any cold medicine, as I didn't take any. As far as I'm concerned, that stuff is just overpriced placebos. By the way, since getting over the cold I've had the worst RLS and insomnia since before I started on Mirapex last June. I hope it isn't the end of yet another drug honeymoon. Last night I was awake almost all night. Only mild RLS this time, but the brain just wouldn't shut down enough for sleep. And yes, add me to the list of RLSers who can't relax. --, 52, western NY Sate ---Phil.Alderslade@... wrote: > > From: Phil.Alderslade@... > > Hi Listers, > > The messages from Jack and coincide with my own experiences. > Perhaps there is really something to be learned from this for a > certain section of us.
