One of the people that used to attend our support group meetings here in Albuquerque swore by them. She used a magnetic mattress for sleep and wore magntes around her legs when she needed to in the daytime. A possible explanation for their effectiveness is that (I recently read somwhere) magnets are supposed to help blood circulation, and that, according to Meadows, is one of the key factors in treating RLS.
