Guest guest
Recently, after I was diagnosed with CMT, I went for blood work and found that my B-12 level was really low. After receiving a shot for 4 weeks in a row I felt worse. I had really thought that they would boost my energy. Now the Doctor wants me to take 1 spray of B-12 by my nose once a week for the rest of my life. Does anyone else out there use this B-12 spray? Does it help? Sincerely, Patty

All the girls in my family have CMT type 3 (late granma, my mum, my two sisters and me). I also had vitamin B12 injections in the past, every three months. It took me a while to realise that this injections made me worse and worse. I stopped taking them after noticing a spasm-like feeling in what I expect was the nerves (not in the muscles). It just made me feel awful. Nowadays I can not even take an ordinary multivitamin tablet without getting the same symptoms. On the other side, my mother who also had a lack of vitamin B12, takes the injections and feel stronger afterwards. She can actually feel when it is time to have another injection, because her body feels weaker. Obviously it seems to work well in some and not for others. I would not go through that again, even if the doctor think I need it. It just was not right. Best Wishes, Nina Cat.
