Thanks Lamar for the suggestion. I have had the scratch and blood

test. The scratch test was false/positive so the doctor did not want

to use injections because they could possibly worsen my condition.

You are right about the anxiety- when I cannot breath then I get

frightened.

My husband is a hypnotherapist and I have used hypnotherapy in

the past. He became a hypnotherapist because hypnotherapy is the

only thing that works with me sometimes. However, I am stubborn

and don't use my time to do the self hypnotherapy like I should- I

just get too busy. I tired using it myself and had no success with

these attacks because I was out of practice. It does work for many

medical conditions because it goes deep into the unconscious. Most

of the asthma's conditions are triggered by emotions and are

helped

with the hypnotherapy. The hypnotherapy also helps with the pain and

rises the level of energy so I need to use it more.

I will ask my doctor to refer me to a pulmonologist because

the chest pain has gone on for years. I know my breathing capacity

is only 70%.

you were told. Also, with today's medications most asthma can be

helped with maintenance medications. Have you had allergy testing?

Dust mites and certain pollens are the most common allergens. Any

breathing problem causes anxiety which can lead to chest pains--

(possibly the reason hypnotherapy was used, as it is not a common

treatment for asthma or respiratory distress other than for the

emotional aspect)

related to CMT. You may want to consider a pulmonologist (lung

specialist) if this continues.
