Guest guest
On my feet I had what was called a post tibial transfer. My feet were dropping and turning inward because of the lack of muscle. The doctors detached one end of a muscle that still worked and reattched it to help pull my foot up and out. This helped me have a straight footy without wearing a brace. In my hands, my thumb was useless because the main muscle on the palm side, the one that allows you to pinch was gone. To compensate my doctor took a tendon from my ring finger (you have two in your fingers) and switched over to my thumb. Now I have some good use of my thumb.
