Guest guest
<< What exactly do you all think of when you see the words 'coping with CMT'? >> For me coping means adapting as needed and carrying on with life. If I need to see a dr I will, but so far I don't need to for anything related to CMT. I do everything I want to do within reason, knowing that stressing myself will hasten my symptoms. I pace myself!!!! Kat

When I see, and say the words " coping with CMT " , I think about how to find practical solutions and psycological/social ways to handle that part of my life which includes CMT. Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, I believe that " coping with CMT " means accepting what I can't change, such as having to use my AFOs, walker or wheelchair when I need to. I cope by talking with my friends, and laughing together...I've been told I'm quite funny. I rest when I need to, and don't try to overdo things. I don't try to impress anyone with heroic deeds, either...I know that it is enough in life to just be " me " .
