Guest guest
, I would never be a quilter if I had to rely on hand quilting. I use a machine for everything. I am, afterall, a 21st century quilter! My theory is, our great grandmas would have used the machines if they had been able to have one!!! Of course, I respect the quilter who enjoys working with her hands - we are all different! Guest guest
Hi Dimitrios, This is Joanie here, writer of the Quilters, hopefully , list. People, mostly women, alto not always, are people who love to make quilts. Quilts are sort of blankets or hangings, that have 3 layers. The top is an pieced design of fabric, the middle is batting and the bottom is another piece of fabric. All of these layers are sewed together, either by hand or by the machine. Hopefully this gives you a short answer. Maybe some of the other quilters can give a better answer.
