Hi There,

I would like to make up a list of CMT people who are also Quilters!!!! We could

share tips about how to handle things.

I would never be a quilter if I had to rely on hand quilting. I use a

machine for everything. I am, afterall, a 21st century quilter!

My theory is, our great grandmas would have used the machines if they had

been able to have one!!! :) Of course, I respect the quilter who enjoys

working with her hands - we are all different!

I would never be a quilter if I had to rely on hand quilting. I use a

machine for everything. I am, afterall, a 21st century quilter!

My theory is, our great grandmas would have used the machines if they had

been able to have one!!! :) Of course, I respect the quilter who enjoys

working with her hands - we are all different!

Hi Dimitrios,

This is Joanie here, writer of the Quilters, hopefully , list. People,

mostly women, alto not always, are people who love to make quilts. Quilts

are sort of blankets or hangings, that have 3 layers. The top is an pieced

design of fabric, the middle is batting and the bottom is another piece of

fabric. All of these layers are sewed together, either by hand or by the

machine. Hopefully this gives you a short answer. Maybe some of the other

quilters can give a better answer.
