Guest guest
Hi, Group: I thought I would add my input to the above subject. I have found that usually I start moving my legs before I'm even aware I am doing it...this is in the daytime. In fact, it is really hard for me to sit still and do my email, which is one reason I get so far behind. If I make a determined effort to be still, then eventually, one of my legs just jumps anyway without any warning. I have PLMD, and one night recently, I forgot to take my Sinemet. I woke during the night just thrashing and kicking and wondering what was wrong, until I remembered I had not taken any medication before going to bed other than Klonopin. This was around 2 a.m., and I can't take Sinemet on an empty stomach, and I have to get up at 4 a.m. So, what I did was to get up and take my usual dosage of Ultram and Neurontin, because they will settle my legs down until I need to get up, and I won't be all hung over. Connie, I know that many of us know what you were going through recently and can certainly sympathize. I hope things are going better for you now. Someone asked if any one else rocked back and forth. I am told by my mother that I did this when I was in a baby pen, and to this day I still do it. My mother asked me the other day why I was doing it, and I said, " I just have to move. " I have no idea if this is part of RLS, but it does provide some measure of relief. As with the RLS, I am usually rocking back and forth before I realize I am doing it, and I have noticed that it most frequently happens when I am stressed out about something. Later.
