Guest guest
The current, April 30 - May 6, Ames Department Store sales circular shows a young boy wearing what appears to be AFO's & shorts!. I'm not sure if these flyers are regional or if Ames is even located in areas other than the East Coast, but the picture appears on page 9, bottom right. One large step for AFO wearers! ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
<< The current, April 30 - May 6, Ames Department Store sales circular shows a young boy wearing what appears to be AFO's & shorts! >> That's neat, . Target and Sears sometimes have a child or adult in a wheelchair, but I haven't noticed AFOs. We don't have Ames store out here. For several years I noticed a dog handler in the big Westminster Dog Show who showed her dog while she was wearing AFOs and a knee length skirt. It didn't bother her to trot with her dog, with the AFOs in full sight. It was the first time I had seen AFOs actually on a person. I suspect that most people wouldn't even notice. As people see such things more frequently they will become less of a curiousity. It didn't used to be common to see people with walkers, scooters, or wheelchairs out in public, but now people seldom give them a second glance here. They mainly pay attention in order to avoid getting in their way. Kat/Pixi

Guest guest
Speaking of AFOs Adam broke another one. I am so sick of Cascade. I need to call them up and demand my insurance money back. I am going to have another type made for him. Like Spencers. They are much better for active kids. Poor Adam can't do anything fun without worrying about breaking those dang things. This can't be good for him.
Guest guest
because of my size, I wear metal uprights. For years I wouldn't wear shorts only pants. Two years ago we went through one of the hottest summers on record. I finally wore shorts, but only in the house around family. Then we went to Florida. I got up enough nerve to wear them there. I am still a little intimitated when I wear them, but I am trying. bKathleenLS@... wrote: << The current, April 30 - May 6, Ames Department Store sales circular shows a young boy wearing what appears to be AFO's & shorts! >> That's neat, . Guest guest
Hi all, My wife was all excited. The model wearing AFO's in the Ames flyer was a student in her class. We know a celebrity! k.latulippe@...
