Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to an elite group!!!! It's so good to see another teen posting. I need the perspective from you guys as my own daughters head into their teen years. Regarding handwriting, my 9-year old is a straight-A student but has major problems with " neatness " . Part of the problem is her handwriting. (Not so easy to correct because of her CMT.) Based on the posts from you and Alisha, I think I will start to get her used to using the computer more, so she has a keyboard as an option when she hits middle school and has to do so many papers and projects. One tip I have found useful for other parents with school kids is that I asked the school to allow Katey to have an extra set of books at home. This eliminates the need to have to LUG heavy books home in a bookbag. I hated carrying a heavy bookbag when I was a kid - I always thought it tired me out. I had no problem getting the second set of books in the elementary school - all I did was ask the teacher at the beginning of the year. I will talk to the middle school BEFORE she starts there in another year and a half. My experience so far with schools is that if I talk to them about the problems (or potential problems) before school starts, I have had the solutions in hand well in advance and don't have to fight for anything. So far, so good. Guest guest
Like i said using a laptop is great. They dont last very long, as i know i am rough on them. (Wouldnt any kid) Computers are my life. I use em for about everything. My handwriting and general neatness (desk, bedroom, closet) is rather poor. Aside from my handwriting, the rest is because i just dont care. Like to talk more... but its late and i gottta wake up early. Write back. Thanks
