Guest guest Posted January 13, 2000 Report Share Posted January 13, 2000 I'm nt 100% sure, but I think reflexes are, you know that bit just below the knee cap where doctors always hit with the little hammer thing, and your leg moves, that movement is the reflex. It should happen independent of the brain, that is why people who are often paralysed, if you hit their knee in the right place it will still move. Normally with CMT you do not have reflexes, I have had many a doctor whacking me on the knees to the point of bruising to try and find a reflex but to no avail. Does anybody out there know exactly why people with CMT do not have any reflexes? Ta!
