Guest guest
When I was diagnosed with cmt 6yrs. ago the Neurologist told me I have cmt and I said, could you please explain that to me. He told me that someday I may need some braces on my lower legs and did not explain in any details what cmt was about or how to get information about it. I sort of just put it out of mind untill this yr. when my symp. started really getting bad. I am now 47 and had to quit my job because of muscle weakness and pain in lower legs. I had been to two other Neuro. before he diag. me with cmt. I guess because my emg were almost normal they were stumped. I have very high arches, hammer toes, Scoliosis, Father and grandfather have high arches and hammer toes but no symp.foot pain for yrs. and yrs. I am just glad that one Neur. diag. me even though he did not explain it very well, other wise I would still be searching to find out what is going on here.
