I have given this a lot of thought over the past couple of weeks. I have

belonged to this group since was the moderator and passed the baton

to Jodi. I have gotten a lot of information from this group in the past,

and have come to think of some of the members as family.

But this group has changed, not that change is a bad thing, but I have

noticed a negativity in this group that hasn't been there before. I know

we are all tired and that makes us grouchy, but there have been some mean

spirited things said over the last month or two. I have come really

close to unsubscribing myself on numerous occasions, perhaps I will yet.

I too asked a question of the group a week ago, and got one response.

The group was too involved with the Arthur deal to notice anyone else. I

hope the newbies to this group will stay a bit longer and see if this

currant trend will correct itself. There are some wonderful people on

this group who are caring and knowledgeable. ( a Dr.? We could

learn a lot from a martian!)

Most of my support now comes from letters written off group to individual

members. This list has gotten off (in my opinion only) the support issue.

We seem to have lost our open mind and reject anything new. I missed

the " Arthur " deal, I guess that started in a chat room, but I sure read

all the posts about him. I deleted all of them because there is no room

for negativity in my life, I am fighting this disease just like all the

rest of you, and I don't want to get brought down, when I have to fight

so hard just to smile at my kids and get through the day without the

black cloud of doom hanging over my head. I'm sure I will get blasted

for this, but that's okay, I feel I had to say something. I will truly

miss the friends that I have made on this group, but it has become

something I don't want to be involved with, I spend my morning scanning

each email and deleting most of them. I hope the friends I have made on

this group will continue to email me, I will miss you. To the newbies

again, hang in there, this too shall pass...

Peaceful days and nights to all.

Doreen & All,

I heard on the car radio the other day about a new drug that fights off

cancer and must be taken every day for the rest of ones life.... same as

a diabetic takes insulin. I don't know if it has been approved as yet

or anything else about it, but this was good news to hear!!!! Was I

dreaming.... hope not!!!!
