I have allergies so this did not take place in the woods; that would be suicidal for me! My family & I were in Portugal one summer and decided to go to far south to a well known beach/camping site. The weather was hot, 38 Celsius. (90 something Fahrenheit) There were four of us in one tent that slept 8, so it was roomy enough, but could not settle down and basically drove everybody else nuts! At 4am, they moved out of the tent and I was left to my own devices inside the tent. OBTW, I did not want to sleep outside because of the paranoia of having sand creatures crawling all over me. eeeeeeek. Anyway, to make this short, in the morning, they found the tent sideways, the canopy was rolled up a couple of feet on 2 sides, and they found me sleeping with feet sticking out of the tent! LOL. My family, so considerate and all, figured I had a rough nite, and left me there, since I was sleeping so well.....(yeah, right!).....they were motivated to get me back, too, because our tent location was on the way to the showers & cafeteria, so just about everybody there saw this too.... Give me a hotel room any day with a decent mattress and air conditioning at full blast setting, thank you very much! :-) A great holiday weekend to all our USA neighbours.
