Guest guest
<< I have no balance and my legs aren't strong enough to hold me if my knees are bent. YOU HAVE TO BEND YOUR KNEES IF YOU SKI! (At least I think you do, LOL). >> Ah hah! Now I know why I hated skiing. I have a photo of me skiing, and I'm standing quite straight. I could snowplow (straight-legged with skies in a V), but I could never make turns with my legs closer together and straight! Schuss. LOL The other thing one needs to be able to do is get up without anything to help! I made sure I didn't fall so I wouldn't have to struggle to get up again. I spent every weekend for 4 winters learning I couldn't ski well! My friends thought I was quite odd on the slopes, but they were never unkind about it. This was back when even people without much money could afford to ski. I think it's different now. Obviously, my feet were not frozen back in those days. * Saturday I spent about half an hour pulling weeds in a 15 inch high bed. Now I can barely walk, my thighs hurt so much and are so weak today! LOL I'll never learn. By the way, I was only on a bicycle once in my life so I don't know if I could have done ridden very well or not. Probably not, I couldn't ice skate, but was pretty good with rollerskates - the old key kind. Kat
