Hi Group, I've been away so have just gotten back to reading from this group.

I have a couple of things to share. In reference to the injury vs. non injury

rls. About 8 years ago I had some surgery- bladder & vaginal repair- probably

necessary after 3 pregnancies. Anyway during re-

covery I had terrible rls!!! I'm not sure if it was the surgery, trauma or lack

of rest induced. Also I have noticed as some have said during some sickness

ie., bad colds or flu the rls isn't so bad, but during an intestinal type of bug

its terrible. Anyone else had this experience? I have been on .125mg of

mirapex for about 5 months. It has worked wonderfully. Before that I was on

Sinemet and I was having so much daytime augmentation that I had to take

hydrocordone to control it in situations where I had to sit still! When I heard

about mirapex I got my dr. to try it. Has been great. Lately, I have been

waking up pretty early 4:30 or 5:00 with rls. So I have decided to go back to

the sinemet alone for a few days to see if I can regain the good effects from

Mirapex. I have heard some of you say you take a vacation from your meds so as

to not lose their effectiveness. Maybe I should try the mirapex at the .25mg,

my doc thought I might have to do that. What have you who have been taking

mirapex had as your experience? When I read how many meds some have to take to

control rls I feel pretty lucky that such a low dose helps me. I have tried so

many meds over the years that eventually lose their effectiveness that one gets

alittle " gun-shy " ! Anyway, Thanks, Chris
