Guest guest
, I started on Sinemet August of 1988. I am taking 25/100 about 2 hours before bedtime. So far, it is still working. The problem I had was I could not sleep but not because of RLS. So the doctor put me on 2mg Valium and I take one Tylenol PM. So far this is working fine. I do not have RLS during the day. It came on about 8 or 9 o'clock at night. Hope this helps some of you. I do not know how long this will last but so far, so good. By the way, the doctor also insisted I try Ambien for sleep and I did. When I found out the cost, I could not sleep even if it did help. Guest guest
Hal, You've got it right. Guest guest
Hey Marcus, My Dr. thinks that my numbness and " hot Feet " are from peripheral neuropathy. I don't really know what that means, you could probably look it up. I'm glad the Sinimet is working for you. It caused too many symptoms during the day for me. I take Mirapex, but last night I had a terrible time with my legs. It felt like I ran the marathon today. I'm going for a biopsy on my breast on Friday. I'm praying that everything is gonna be OK. Hey Steph, the only connection to the bank robbery that I can see, is the fact that you just moved there! Share the Loot with us! Hope all is well. Happy mother's day. Guest guest
Been on 10/100 Sinemet at night for RLS for years, no problems and it works for nighttime RLS. Now if I could only find something for the daytime swinging leg and tapping foot! Some of us can do well on Sinemet... just my two cents worth. Guest guest
Chuck, I had the product insert you can obtain at your pharmacy (would be inside one the bottle; they toss the any way so ask for one!) sitting on my desk for Sinemet. Plain as day, it list " vomiting " as a possible side effect of Sinemet. " Digestive: garonintestinal bleeding, development of dudenal ulcer, anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dyspepsia, dry munt, taste alterations. " Jodi had her Web Site has extensive information on the various drugs used to treat RLS. I would go check what she has out: http://www.mlists.net/judson/rls.html A hint; if her RLS comes back with a venegance, you might ask the doctors about putting her on Mirapex. My mother has a tender tummy and has had no problems with it in this regard. I am sorry to say even the best of Neurologists, Psyciatrists and/or Sleep Disorder Specialist often know enough to shake in a thimble about RLS and drugs perhaps prescribed for it. The Director of the RLS Foundation told me of 3,000 doctors attending the Sleep Convention in Orlando here shortly, only 100 are signed up for the RLS seminar, the only one on it. On the bright side, 100 is better then none! Well, back to the wild, wooly west; we are the pioneers to stick around and thanks so much for trying to help your wife! Guest guest
I have been on 10/100 Sinemet for years and take it every night, no problems in all of those years. Get some naseua from chronic pain I also have, and that Phenergan 25 mg when that comes up. That is infrequent, and can happen anytime day or night when pain is really bad. Good Luck.
