Well, I was just wondering ... How many of you with RLS used to sit, cross

your legs and shake your leg or foot when you were kids? I used to do that

all the time and it just drove my Mom nuts. Ha ... she's the one I got my CMT

from.

I don't sit with my legs crossed as it makes my legs more numb than usual but

I so bounce my feet on the floor. I don't even notice it but my husband does

and he lets me know it. LOL I just can't seem to hold them still. Like I said

I don't even know when I am doing it. It is like a reflex. Danieta

Yes, Danieta ...

That's exactly what I meant ... it was like an unconscious reflex. I was just

wondering if all the shaking as a kid could have been an early sign of CMT.

Interesting, as the posts come in, how many of us used to do that. I mean,

most of us were klutzes, tripped a lot, etc. ... I thought that maybe we

might have the foot and leg shaking in common too. Just wondering ...

I used to do this, and my oldest son who has no CMT symptoms at

all does this all the time. He just can't sit still. He's 17, I know how

your mom felt! It drives me nuts to watch him. ~>Becky M.

RLS appears to be hereditary, but has not been isolated as to how.

Something I forgot to mention, my sons Orthopedic Dr. seems to think

that RLS runs in families but he didn't say he thought it was hereditary. I

asked him that and he said not per say but it does run in families. ??

What does that mean anyway?? ~>Becky M.
