Guest guest
Hi Becky, what does the " K " in front of AFO's mean? This is new to me. I have lost nearly all lower leg muscles and have lost 50% quad muscle strength. The Orthotics tech said I will have to have them locked in place most of the time when walking unless I'm having a really good day strength/balance wise. I have to have forearm crutches to assist in balance when walking. I have hyperextended knees and they also are meeting in the middle? Like this >< !! I have joint damage at knees due to hyperextension of knees. I have contracture of my feet, toes, (hammer toes). Neurologist said I could have a stress fracture happen due to high arches and tendons pulling so tight. I do stretches three times per day, and have done them for 2 years. My hands and forearms are worse. Due to my knees, I am putting stress on my hips and the braces are to help with this. > Ok now my 9 year old sons lates! t Dr's appointment with Orthopedic > >
