Potty training for a child with CMT

Hello there, I am new, so I am not sure if I am doing this right.

I have a 5 year old with CMT and I have trouble with him going to the

bathroom (bowel movements). He is fine with urinating, but he can't

seem to get the bowel movements going. He said they hurt him.

I am wondering if this is normal or if there maybe something else

wrong with him. He isn't on any medications that might cause this.

If anyone has any responses, please help.
