Guest guest
D. , We are very happy to have you as a part of our group. Some of us find a lot of comfort in sharing other folks pain, interests, discoveries, joys, etc. We all have a lot to offer and the information we receive from one another is priceless. Give us a chance and I think you will understand us and realize that we all operate differently. Some of us stick strictly to the facts, some of us have the " gift of gab " , some of us are real encouragers, but we all have one thing in common, this hideous disease of RLS. As you have already gathered we are all quite different, but how boring it would be if we weren't, and would we really learn anything if it all came from the same perspective. Again, welcome, and I hope you learn to love these folks like I have. Ninette 51 TN
Guest guest
D. : I've had RLS for 31 years and have been on this support list for 5 months, works well. You're certainly entitled to post your opinion on who should shut up about what they post but I and many others happen to enjoy hearing from from personal friends, friends and cyber friends on this list who are bonded together by this disorder regardless of what they post. I'm happy for you that you have found relief with your med and hope you enjoy a good night's sleep. With the approval of the list owner, Jodi, we've established some basic ground rules that allow anyone, including you, to post non-offensive material which includes humor and general information. You can play by the rules too. You're encouraged to share your experiences with us and I hope to learn something from you. If you don't like the subject don't read the letter and you won't be imposed on. I think that soon you will feel comfortable here and accept us as we are. You might find you actually like this group just as it is. Heard any good ones lately? , 51 Central Florida >From: da@... > >I've had RLS for 34 years and am currently on Tylenol 4, works well. Guest guest
Stick around D. This group is about supporting one another. We live in the world, and we have RLS. Sometimes this can be a real challenge. Humor and getting to know each other has been a real gift for many of us who have been here awhile. We have been through divorces, babies born, deaths, job challenges, chemical imbalances, medication adjustments, house fires, mammograms, cancer, vacations, cruises, losses, addictions, the list is endless. This is who we are. We are more than our RLS. Get to know us. Let us get to know you. I hope all is well with everyone. Guest guest
Dear D. : We write in the Subject line, " Not RLS related, " for those e-mails that don't pertain specifically to RLS. That way, you can choose to delete them, and not waste your time, scanning e-mails for just RLS specific information. Elaine
