Guest guest Posted December 10, 1998 Report Share Posted December 10, 1998 Margaret, If you are in an insurance situation where you might have difficulty seeing a sleep specialist should you need one, it may well be best for you to establish a relationship with this doctor. You should not need a sleep study though, to diagnose RLS. By rights, this should not jeopardize the progress you have made being on the Permax. I would certainly hope that this doctor was going to allow you some input into your treatment, and you should be able to tell him how well you are doing on this drug and continue to use it for now. I would continue to learn all that you can before you see him, though, and print out information from on line to take with you.
