Guest guest
AFO's are tough in other shoes, but I have some granny style lace up boots that work. You will need to test the waters to see what size to get. Try the size you get with your sneakers and see if that works. Any shoe that laces up around your ankle will work. Dress Shoes for AFO wearers? From: Buchie54@... Hi everyone. This question is for the ladies only. Does anyone that has to wear AFO's wear anything besides sneakers. I had to go to a funeral over the weekend and the only shoes that fit my AFO's are sneakers and I thought I looked pretty ridiculous wearing dress clothes with sneakers. Does anybody else feel this way too? Or does anybody wear any other shoes besides sneakers with their AFO's? If so, what kind? Also did anybody receive their copy of the winter issue of the CMT Report? I just got my copy yesterday and in it was an article from a M.E. from Santa , CA talking about traeger Body Work and how it has helped with her balance and has made her hands more flexible. I was just wondering if anybody else has ever heard of this treatment. I checked on the net and Traeger Body Work is a form of massage but I could not find anything that really explained what it was supposed to do. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PERFORM CPR ON YOUR APR! Guest guest
I wear Drew Shoes - that are nice looking orthopedic shoes - sold in stores that carry orthopedic shoes. I have to have the soles removed and rebuilt to meet my own requirements. They are very supportive of AFO's as are a deep shoe with plenty of room for the AFO. Hope you find some that will work! It was $500.00 From what she told me it shakes you up and bring circulation to needed areas. She dosen't have CMT. She is using to get rid of her secretary thighs. Her words. I was wondering if it would help us CMters. jenny

Guest guest
: Do you get CMTA Report? This lady wrote in and said " I'm a searcher for answers to the problem of CMT. I found out about Traeger Body Work (it stimulates the nerves) and have had Traeger treatments once a week for 1 1/2 years. I am now able to raise my toes more than 2 inches. Before, they would not move. My hands are now quite flexible. My balance has improved. " Could you find out from your sister where she heard about Traeger Body Work and an address or something that I could write to and find out about it. Thanks.
