Guest guest
Dear Muriel: I've been taking Neurontin probably a year and a half. The first five days to a week, I couldn't stop eating everything in sight. Normally, I eat two meals a day during the week and once a day on weekends. I gained five pounds that week, plus seven more later. I exercise a fair amount (stationery bike) and eat very little. However, I have not been able to get back to the original weight. As of this morning, I had lost seven pounds, but I may have two or three back tomorrow. Weight gain is supposed to be one of the side effects of Neurontin, and at my space in time, the pounds cling like glue. Good luck to you. BTW, as far as the uneducated people out there, you just have to remember that there are millions of them around us. In fact, even I had never heard of it until about three or four years ago, although I have had some of the symptoms for many years. I just thought I was a nervous person who had trouble sleeping at night but could fall asleep at the drop of a hat in the daytime. I know it's kind of embarrassing, but like someone else said, use Dr. Levin's answer. It is priceless. Joyce F/58/ville,Arkansas
