Guest guest
I've seen this same message several times in the past and also notices that it is a hoax (and a cruel one I may add). If you think about it it really doesn't ring true either . How does anyone keep track of the number of messages for the 3 cents bit. Sign me just another suspicious Brooklynite. CHEERS! Jeanne and Mr. Biggles in Poultney VT where the temperatures are due to really plummet later today!

Guest guest
Jeanne, I'm with you on this hoax. I've seen this same story circulating on various lists and usenet groups for at least four years (considering this poor unfortunate always has six months to live). I don't know why anyone would make this stuff up. New England in the winter is about the prettiest picture in the world. The drive up I91 along the Ct. river in the snow is breathtaking...when the Green Mts. are white! Guest guest
There's a terrific site that catalogs and comments on the various Net hoaxes that seem, after you've been online for a bit, to be taking over the universe. Here's the URL: http://urbanlegends.miningco.com/library/blhoax.htm If you page down to the section " Perennials " and then to The Mydek Chain Letter, you'll learn far more than you want to know about hoaxes of this type. Guest guest
Nothing to be sorry for Riaz. I'm one of the softest touches around. That's why just as soon as I know that an incoming phone call is one of those pleading for money or trying to sell me something I press the button on a contraption I bought that plugs into the phone. A recorded voice then replies in a civil voice that this number does not accept these calls and requests that my number be removed from their list. It than hangs up. Saves me a lot of arguing, angst and money. Best ten bucks I ever spent. CHEERS!! Jeanne and Mr. Biggles in Poultney, VT
