CMT is different. Senneff says IV/Ig treatments MAY be effective for Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) and Guillain-Barre syndrome (GBS), But there is no mention of CMT. (The response rate was between 40 and 60% ... for people who have CIDP or GB.) Both CIDP and GB have symptoms in common with CMT because they are all PNs, but the causes and treatments are NOT necessarily the similar. Hope this helps.
