Guest guest
Cathy; I too had this pain which led me (in a round about way) to diagnosis of CMT in the first place. My hands had hurt for years and I assumed for ten years or more it was arthritis but when If finally started getting simular pain in tops of my feet it made me wonder. . . and it seemed to come and go. . . I found out that is when my arches (severely high at the time) were starting to fall due to muscle wasting in the feet and tendons drawing due to no meaty areas in my feet keeping things stretched out. So, I got severe pain and at times very hot feelings and then sometimes even swelling for no apparent reason. I found it relieved it most to soak in hot epson salt waater and stay off my feet as much as possible. . but even that after a while didn't relieve it. I did find that getting inserts in my AFO's helped to keep better support and more comfort as well as made my ankles more stable. Good luck; instead of regeneration I felt mine was progression.
