Guest guest
I totally sympathize with you . I was always falling as I was growing up and was teased constantly for being slow etc...(not mentally either). If I knew then what I know now... Anyway, about s question:what are those crawly feelings? Well I talked to my hand surgeon, and he explained it that as a day progresses, our bodies are controled by gravity, thus, excess fluids build up in our lower legs(about 2 quarts)( that's why when we take our shoes off, we have marks on our arches where the shoe was) anyway, as we go horizonnal the fluids redistribute through our bodies . Thus, thats why we feel that crawly sensation in our legs because thats where the majority of fluids start out. He said that if I put my feet up at least, 2 to 3 times a day and before I go to bed for an hour or more, the sensation should decrease. I haven't tried it yet, so I can't tell you if it works. Guess it's worth a try. I hope the information helps. I have an appointment with a neurologist in a few weeks and I'll ask her. Guest guest
I HAVE A DROP RIGHT FOOT AND ALSO CONSTANTLY TRIPPED. MY ORTHOTIST FITTED ME WITH A HEIL BRACE WHICH HAS ALL BUT ELIMINATED MY TRIPPING. I ALSO HAVE SCARS FROM FORTY YEARS OF TRIPPING PRIOR TO GETTING MY BRACE THREE MONTHS AGO.I WISH I HAD FOUND IT SOONER,BUT BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. Guest guest
--- Hi Gretchen! I also trip and fall alot. And I guess we fall very heavily, because our legs just gives in. I read that 's knees doesn't get tanned because of scarring. Mine is the same, they have a permanently dark (not tanned) colour because of all the falls over the years. The biggest trouble is that I'm unable to get up from wherever I have fallen - and sometimes feel quite stupid lying on a pavement or in a shop unable to get up unless I got something near me to grab hold of. I am in the prosess of getting one crutch to take with me on travels etc. because I fall more after walking for a while. Also with a walkingaid people take more care not to push us and they can see that it is something wrong - and that we are NOT drunk... Best wishes to all of you! Love, Nina Cat.
