Guest guest
I was fascinated to read your email Lamar. I have traced CMT in my family and I think my great grandmother brought it in. However my grandfather must have had it because Dad has and we know it isn't in his mothers side. However, I was speaking to my Dad's cousins the other week and they both have grand daughters who have problems with their feet. I've sent some info down about CMT and told them to tell their doctors about me and my family. I haven't found 56,OOO of them - Wow! Sue Re: The Gene << When the gene gets passed on to your children, does it pass on the specific type CMT that you have, or could a Type II parent pass on the Type I disease to her offspring? >> One type per family is the conventional wisdom. If one CMTer marries another CMTer, and they have different type I don't know how that would work out with children genetically.
