Ok I am opening a can of worms. Do you all feel that Periodic Leg

movement is a different syndrome or what ever than Restless Leg. I read

your notes and it is hard to beleive how some of you suffer and in my I

ignorance. I wonder if some of you don't have Parkinson. Now I am new

to this all so take it easy on me. I wonder if I belong to this group. I

have the problem that keeps me from falling asleep and staying asleep

from slight leg movements not usually jerks. I have trouble keeping

legs still many times but not jerks. Yesterday I sat here at computer

thinking on this and than realized my one leg was moving up and down so

fast that I was shaking computer but it was some thing I became use to

doing. Also the leg movement I now have to do when falling asleep is

like a habit that calms me down.I can not just stop my leg and fall

asleep it has to be moving gentle back and forth.Ok now My leg is

rocking again and I need to get up from here and go some where else for

awhile.I can not sit for long periods of time either. But I don't have

the leg jerks that keep me on my feet moving like some do. Now I have

two very wonderful freinds who have manic depression who can not be

still for a minute in their manic states and one takes medicine that at

times makes her shake she can not even write a letter and has to keep

moving. I think its a good idea for any one to get a diagnoses from a

doctor. I would never of know about this problem with my legs until I

had asleep study done. Any way so after reading all your postings do I

just have a mild case or is there two different syndromes? Jeanie Stout
