Guest guest
I am 42, male and since I was 20 when I received a shot for nausea(Compazine) I have not had much relaxation. For years I tried to find out what was wrong with me only to be told by geniuses at the Mayo clinic that I needed a Psychiatrist for my problem because there was no physical reason for my symptoms. I'm not sure if what I have is rls. I cannot keep my legs still most of the time and it's worse the more I try to relax. But unlike the other stories I've heard what I feel is a very strange sensation in the lower trunk area and sometimes in the anal area and sometimes in the upper thigh area causing me to feel an absolutely desperating and uncontrollable urge to move my thighs and of course the legs follow my thighs. I have come almost to the point of suicide and the only relief came from narcotic pain medication. Consequently I got very addicted to them, but 3 1/2 years ago I stopped taking all narcotics as the addiction was making my life unmaneagable. I have found that Catapress(Clonidine) also helps to a more limited extent, and that I can't tolerate Benadryl or any phenothiazines such as thorazine. These send my symptoms thru the roof. Does this sound familiar to anyone, particularly the area of discomfort?. Any help would be appreciated.
