Guest guest
Hi , I was given amitryptilin and from what I can remember, my daytime drousiness was more severe. The last anti-depressant I was on was Serzone and I had no side effects to this at all. The doctor told me that I may be on it for good, but being as stubborn as I am I was off it in about a year! I did find that I had to go off it VERY slowly. It has been about 8 months now and have never felt the need to go back on it. Keeping my fingers crossed! Guest guest
, yes, I am back in the hospital. I have a nice room this time at least. Alletta, Thanks, this sure wasn't what I had in mind for the weekend. When my hubby asked what do I want to do for the weekend, The answer of going to the hospital, blowing veins, undergoing test after test and being covered head to toe in a rash that has now ulcerated was no where on my list. I did check it twice and not, this was not on it at all. I've run a temp. of 103 ever since they checked me in. My normal is 97.4. I am battling with the nurses to get them to understan this as well as my low blood pressure 84/43 and the fact that I don't sweat so me " sweating " my fever off is not a possibility. It frustrates me to be here because I know after all the torture is over, they will be no closer to know how to treat me and this little stay won't make me well. All it does is leave me to have to beg for medication for pain and itching... benadryl... can only have every 6 hours, atarex...can only have only every 8 hours. I held on to my Sinemet and told them what they could do with themselves if they tried to take that one away... Sorry, I'm grumpy and want to go home. Oh, one more question to anyone who can anser it for me.... what does the gall bladder do? And if it is not working right, what symptoms would one have? Thanks for every thing, Deboarh Reply-To: shydrager To: shydrager Subject: new meds Date: Wed, 01 May 2002 22:16:57 -0700 Deb; Get better, you've got a few more rounds in you - astound us, please! ________________________________________________________ New med: Brand Name: Modulon Generic Name: Trimebutine -an anti-spasmodic used to treat irritable bowel syndrome, sedation/drowsiness are an expected side effect (in my case not applicable since I am incapable of being drowsy or sedated) I'm at the, thanks, doc, I'll try anything phase after many years (the first ten docotrs advised against using laxatives routinely, wish to God I'd not listened, they had no idea how bad it was). Suppositories don't work, nor to lastulose, fibre (makes it worse), milk of magnesia and so on. Well steeped senna tea at bedtime is some help and does soten it up. Not a problem of not drinking enough water, I practically drown. I'm to try the modulon for three days, if no change noted I should double that, at the end of 30 days if there is no improvement, we go to a new plan, I jjust hope this works. The bethanol chloride (Duvoid) I take to improve urinary function (urine production) works so well, saved my life, that was a stroke of genius, not heard of anyone else using it. (that makes it 21 pills a day) I do not ever seem to need increases of meds (for pain, sleep etc), recently I actually decreased the sleep meds because one pill worked as well as two. That goes against the whole dependance grain - is that another strange MSA feature. One more thing about the constipation - oil, greasy foods (olive oil, french fries, bacon) in generous amounts when I'm constipated helps 1 time out of three (possibly because I rarely eat greasy food). I avoid raw vegetables and fruit because I cannot pass gas either and distend to a painful degree. If nothing passes for three days I stop eating and only drink water, tea and coffee. In order for any of this to work I NEED stress-free mornings - no rushing, no socializing, no phone calls. aletta mes vancouver, bc Canada web: http://aletta.0catch.com If you do not wish to belong to shydrager, you may unsubscribe by sending a blank email to shydrager-unsubscribe
Guest guest
Deborah, Gall bladder attacks can cause a huge number of symptoms such as pain in the right side of the chest, back pain, and even pain in the neck. Some people even have constipation/ diarrhea, stomach pain and many other problems. Like MSA, it takes a specialist and many tests to pin down. However, it also sounds as if you have an infection on top of other problems. So hang in there, let the doctors sort out the causes and get well quick.
