Guest guest
hi jill - while i do relish being called a 'jokester' i do have my serious side which has largely gone unnoticed by many..........jill i do believe you have overlooked the obvious. in your never ending quest to find the 'cure' for your rls you only need to go to the local supermarket or drug store and purchase a laxative and then you will be able to sleep all night long. the rest of us will continue to do our own research to find our individual cures while you sleep the night away. Guest guest
Jill, You have out done your self this time with the laxatea. I am waiting for all the feed back (no pun intended) you are going to get on this one!!!! Really, its no laughing matter for us pill poppers, because the pain pills do seem to block up the plumbing, so I just might try some. I do think I will start out with only one bag though. Guest guest
My Goodness, Guys........... Where have we been? There have been laxative teas out there in the supermarkets for Eons and Eons.............from my vantage point, I have viewed laxative teas, herbal drinks, chewing gum, fiber drinks (which I recommend highly....the new quick-mix orange flavored Metamucil or something similar).........laxative EVERYTHING!!! Make sure you are taking advantage of all the natural things that you can do..........eating lots of fruits and veggies.......which, by the way are 100 times better for you than taking supplements. They are finding that this helps to prevent many types of cancer. Particularly pay attention to the obvious fruits for bowel function........the prunes, either dried or cooked a bit in water........prune juice.......and fresh pineapple is also helpful. The absolute top cereal to eat for fiber is Fiber One, with 13 grams of fiber per serving. And it tastes great! I eat it plain or sprinkled on yogurt sometimes. Remember to increase your fiber intake a little at a time or you may experience bothersome gas pains and emissions........:-) A nice bowl of cereal in the morning with some fruit is so good for helping to keep you regular. This is so vital, not only for regularity.......but it has now been proven that it can save your life. Milk of Magnesia is always there if you need it........... There is nothing I love better than an afternoon at our neighborhood Giant Supermarket, (going to do this today, in fact) which is one of those big, up- to-date ones. I don't hurry through the store grabbing stuff. I take my time and do each aisle carefully, seeing just what is there and picking things up and reading all the labels. I'm always surprised at the new stuff I find. I get a cup of coffee or tea, Cappucinno, whatever........and just stroll through, making friends along the way. Last week, I kept meeting the same woman in different aisles, and we starting laughing about having the same tastes in things.......somehow we began chatting about the holidays and stress and working and SLEEPING!......turns out she had a niece who has RLS bad and has no idea what it really is or where to turn. Needless to say, I told her exactly where to turn and gave her my card to give me a call. Found out this lady lives right around the corner from me, too. It's a small world...........and a friendly one..............as long as you're careful. But I digress...............as usual.............. Take care everyone, and have a good day...........if you need me, I'll be at the Giant................ Connie
Guest guest
now don't get me wrong connie but even though i read every word of your message and truly admire and respect anyone who will read the ingredients of every packaged good and probably even better leave their cart in the middle of the aisle while doing so and take their 4 children all under the age of 5 with them - i'm going to spend my afternoon watching 2 great pro football playoff games while eating pizza with extra cheese and drinking a beer or two.
