If we've learned anything in our group, it's that drugs affect people differently. However, I don't think I was clear in my initial post regarding the Tylenol toxicity. Let me go into more personal detail. The symptoms described (hearing your heartbeat in your ears) was a symptom which I experienced after taking Tylenol for several days. When I mentioned this to a doctor, she indicated that the Tylenol was almost certainly the cause. I was not taking the PM version. The symptoms left very quickly after I discontinued the drug. My subsequent comment regarding checking liver function--also suggested by the doc when I asked her (again) about Lynn's question--was more (I inferred) out of a concern for Lynn's possible long-term over-usage of the drug. However, even short term over-use can cause the symptoms described.
