Guest guest
<< All that salt. I didn't know salt could cause that much swelling. Makes me feel reeeeeally old to know I have to limit my salt intake. Or is that the same for everyone? I'm 35. >> I would humbly submit that RLS makes many us feel much older than our chronologically age. OBTW, some sleep trivia..........did you know that the average American sleeps about 20% less than we did in the previous century! Uh, uh, uh thank you Mr. Edison! RAINBOWPED@... Guest guest
, I'm so glad you figured out what was causing your ankles to swell.....but it breaks my heart for you to have to deprive yourself of ANYTHING from my beloved Harry's Farmer's Market. I'm no physician but I believe salt-sensitivity is an individual thing....some are and some aren't. Age doesn't matter from what I've read. If your ankles swell from eating pretzels, I would certainly keep an eye on my blood pressure. Perhaps if you could cut down on some salt in your diet otherwise, you could rub most of the salt off of the pretzels and still enjoy some of them. I would imagine it is your total daily intake that is the culprit and not just the pretzels. There is so darned much hidden sodium in our food that many people aren't aware of........and even more in the prepared foods that so many of us take advantage of when we work outside of the home. How sodium-savvy are you? If you would like a list of the average amount of sodium in most foods, I can send you one........along with a list of sites to investigate for further education along this line. I know you can find this stuff yourself, but since I have it already, it could save a little time. I hope your RLS and pain level are not too bad.
