<< 2 DAYS AGO I RED AN ARTICLE IN A NEWSPAPER (HERE IN MY TOWN) ABOUT AN

AMERICAN COMPANY (NOT PUBLIC) WHICH MANAGED TO READ THE WHOLE HUMAN

GENOMA (PLACES OF THE GENES).

DO YOU KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT THAT? >>

The private company that says that has done that isn't really finished but is

getting close. The government is doing the same thing, and is getting close.

If the private company is first it plans to charge a LOT of money to anyone

who wants to use their information. If the government finishes first it will

not charge a lot of money for anyone to use the information. Good people are

hoping that the government will win the race.

Even after they have the geomes mapped they don't know what they will do with

the information. It will be a long time before it is useful. They have known

the whereabouts of the defective gene for CMT 1A is for years, but it only

helps for testing, not for treating or prevention.

This is what I remember from reading various magazine and newspaper articles.
