Guest guest
Hi Joyce, I too had a hard time with the insurance co. the 'tooth' diease and orthotics. My Dr. had to first write a prescription for the orthotics, that made it an 'official' medical need, then I went to a Certified Orthotist, who the Dr. recommended. I had to pay for them completely upfront. I kept a xerox copy of the prescription and my bill. It was six months later plus 3 letters from me appealing the denial of my insurance on orthotics, but the insurance FINALLY reimbursed me for their 80% of covered charges. I am wondering if anyone of us should get our Dr.s to put HSMN down for our diagnosis, that would eliminate the 'tooth' problem. Thoughts anyone? Has anyone tried this?
