Guest guest
I am glad that Einnie is doing well with her food selections. But I am sceptical that anyone has shown RLS to be an offshoot of Parkinsons. Please give us the references, if you can find them Einnie. Even if RLS were an offshoot of Parkinsons, I believe that the recommendations given on page 421 of " Prescription for Nutritional Healing " are not very helpful, if even accurate. I do agree with their suggestion that if you are taking levedopa (or Sinemet), you have to watch out for taking protein near the same time. But they go on to say that if you take levedopa, you should consume bananas, beef, fish, liver, oatmeal, etc in moderation because they contain vitamin B-6, which interferes with the drug's potency. OK, but who takes levedopa alone these days? I take Sinemet, which has both cardopa and levedopa. AS Dr. Levin explained long ago, the cardopa is in there to negate this effect of vitamin B-6. So forget about avoiding foods that have B-6! Anway, good luck with your foods. Don in Albuquerque, NM
