Guest guest
I would strongly suggest that everyone purchase a PDR that has pictures of the meds you are taking. It is disturbing but sometimes the pharmacy will give you the wrong strength of your medicine. For example, I take Ambien. It comes in two strengths - 5mg tab and 10mg tab. They are both the same size but they are different colors with 5mg being pink and 10mg being white. I have had my prescription for 10mg tabs filled incorrectly with 5mg tabs. Also, I take Permax. Permax comes in three strengths - 0.05mg, 0.25mg and 1.0 mg. Again, they are all the same size but different colors with 0.05mg being ivory, 0.25mg being green, and the 1mg being pink. I have had my Permax prescriptions incorrectly filled with the wrong strengths! This could make a big big difference! Also, the color difference is not that great.....we are not talking NEON colors here. Pink & white can look the same in the dark, if you know what I mean. Anyhow, just a thought........know your colors! One more problem is that generic meds can come in all sorts of colors, shapes and sizes. I do think they make a PDR for generic meds too.
